Ron Blommers
Born & raised by Europeans in Kent County, Ron grew tall and basketball ruled his teen & young adult life including National Championships with St. Mary's University in Halifax and a member of Canada's National Team in 1978.
Always with his keen eye on the art world, Ron visited many countries through sport and loved visiting famous art museums at a young age.
Ron married an American girl in Nova Scotia, Beth Murray, and then moved to Hawaii for 13 years where he excelled in the radio business. While there, he took some oil painting lessons from Patrick Ching and was friends with Hawaii's renowned artists Hiroshi Tagami & Michael Powell.
His artistic talents run in the family as Dutch painter Bernardus J. Blommers was a world renowned impressionist artist in the 1800's in Holland. Ron started selling paintings in Hawaii only 3 years ago as interest grew in his work. Ron loves the creative process and his quest for knowledge keeps him young.
Ron, Beth and their family of 2 boys now reside once again in his hometown of Chatham Ontario, where he has a studio in his residence. Blommers Fine Art believes in providing art lovers with gallery quality oil paintings for ½ the price.
