Kristy's work has developed into two distinctive series, one through pencil, and the other through the use of textiles and stitching.

The pencil drawings series depict an overweight woman in various positions. The series consits of 4 drawings that challenge the viewer to think outside of what is considered normal and challenge the audience's expectations and views of beauty. The series seeks to makes the audience uncomfortable with the reality of society's obsessions with the physical body developed by the media.

The stitch series is an experiementation with textiles and stichings. It developed into a commentary on the current conditions animals face within different cultures. A pitbull, whale, and elephant are all species that deal with either inhumane hunting practices or laws that limit these animals populations
