ARTspace Original Print Exchange and Exhibition

Local artist Vanessa Cornell has organized an international print exchange for ARTspace, putting Chatham-Kent on the map!
Over 80 artists have chosen to participate and have sent their prints from not only Chatham-Kent, but 8 different countries including Australia, Belgium, England, India, Mauritius and Scotland. All of the artists were asked to create an edition of 10 prints in a print method of their choice at the set size of 5” x 7”. One of each artist prints will be on display and for sale at $75 each from August 9 to September 19, 2011.
Once the exhibition is over, a suite 9 different prints will be sent back to each participant, allowing them to see what other artists from around the globe are doing.
3 awards were granted during the opening reception on Thursday, August 11, 2011, including the Curator's Choice Award and two Peoples' Choice Awards (International and Local)
Curator's Choice Award was granted to Aaron S. Coleman from Illinois, USA for physiology, 2011, mezzotint and silkscreen.
International Peoples' Choice Award was granted to BoucheÏ Marina from Limal, Belgium for untitled, 2011, collograph.
Local Peoples' Choice Award was granted to Rebecca Crofts, Chatham, Ontario for Comatose Joy 2011, collograph.
