Children's Treatment Centre: The Mosaic Art Gala

Artwork created by children receiving services at the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent will be on exhibit at ARTspace, 165 ½ King Street W., in downtown Chatham from September 20 – September 28, 2011.
The artwork, which includes watercolour and acrylic paintings, photography and printmaking, was produced during a series of summer art camps held at the Centre and overseen by local professional artist Tracy Bultje. The pieces have been professionally mounted and framed with services generously donated by Downie Photo Services Inc in Blenheim.
These works of art will be sold at a live and silent auction during the MOSAIC Art Gala to be held on Thursday, September 29th, 2011 at the Children’s Treatment Centre to raise funds for the Centre’s “Express Yourself” campaign in support of adapted arts programming and music therapy. Tickets are available at the Children's Treatment Centre, call 519-354-0520. Tickets are $100 each which includes a $75 charitable receipt.
Bultje was assisted at the camps by a number of guest local artists who instructed the camps including: Becky Fixter Vagners, John Lyons, Betty-Anne McGeorge and Vanessa Cornell. Works for live and silent auction were donated by local professional artists including: Christy DeKoning, Tracy Bultje, Andrea Vuletin, Becky Fixter Vagners, Vanessa Cornell, Laurie Langford, Rob Bajer, Jennifer Dunn, John Lyons and Linda Van de Bovenkamp.
