May 16 - June 25, 2011

ARTspace’s newest exhibition features Ania Czerwieniec ceramic artist and Cornelis Peet acylic painter.  This exhibition explores both two and three dimensional works that have been brought together through the symbiotic relationship of nature and animal.  The work of Cornelis Peet is strongly influenced by the traditional Dutch painting style, focusing mainly on landscape.   Ania’s pottery draws inspiration from her natural surroundings of laying hens, honeybees and most directly her Purple Martin Colony.

Ania Cerwieniec received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Education from the University of Windsor and has exhibited throughout Chatham-Kent.  She is a full-time ceramic artist and teaches courses through the Thames Art Gallery.

This exhibitionwill be on display from May 18 to June 25, 2011 with an artists’ reception on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 6pm as the first stop of the Summer Art Crawl!
