Writing an artist statement is a great way to clarify your ideas about your work, important for writing a proposal for an exhibition or project, and applying for funding. Also, provides valuable information if applying for a teaching or lecturing position and is a good way to introduce your work to a buying public. Often the more a buyer knows about your work the more interested they are in what you do and purchasing work. This two hour workshop will provide information and assistance on writing your artist statement and review the types of statements you might need.
