Want to become an Exhibiting Member?
Exhibiting Membership $100.00 Annual Membership fee
Exhibiting memberships are offered to artist who have developed a mature body of work and wish to exhibit and sell their work at the gallery. To become an Exhibiting Member of ARTspace, the successful completion of an application procedure is required (see printable form below). In addition, applicants must also have some residential claim to the region of Chatham Kent.
Benefits of an Exhibiting Membership
Members are encouraged to participate in regular exhibitions and sales of their work through the Exhibiting Members section of ARTspace. They are also encouraged to submit proposals to the Selections Committee for solo exhibitions, group exhibitions or curatorial projects. In addition to these exhibiting opportunities, members are encouraged to participate in Gallery Crit Sessions, will receive curatorial visits and can set up meetings with the curator or committee to review proposals.
Members will also receive a membership card, which will allow them to receive a $15.00 discount on all ARTcamps, an ARTspace tote bag, a $10.00 gift certificate for the purchase of an ARTspace art piece over $50.00, 15% off any purchase at Eve Chocolatier, as well as a buy 1 get 1 free offer on truffles after ARTspace events, a coupon book of 10 café deals at William Street Café, as well as a buy 1 get 1 free offer on beverages (non alcoholic) after ARTspace events and 5% off all public programming at the Thames Art Gallery, including community arts initiatives, workshops, classes, lectures, etc.
All Exhibiting Members are eligible to seek a position on the Executive Committee and will be encourages to attend the Annual General Meeting.
What does the committee look for in an application?
1. A properly completed application form
2. A clear and professional portfolio/proposal
3. Quality of work: the committee will be looking to determine whether the applicant has demonstrated a firm grasp on the techniques and materials employed as well as a consistency of vision. The committee will give preference to those artists who are able to present a cohesive body of work that demonstrates facility with the materials and techniques employed to produce them.
In the case of a curatorial submission, the committee will consider the depth, consistency and accessibility of the curatorial vision.
4. If the committee feels as though there are unanswered questions they may decide to contact the artist and speak directly about any concerns with the application.
5. If the committee decides to withhold an offer of an Exhibiting Membership, they encourage the applicant to become a Supporting Member of ARTspace. As a Supporting Member, artist will be able to participate in the benefits associated with such a membership and reapply at a later date.

Supporting Member $25.00 Annual Membership Fee
Supporting Memberships are intended for artists or for those what are simply interested in participating in the cultural life of the gallery. Supporting Members are welcomed without the need for application.
Benefits of a Supporting Membership
Supporting Members will receive the ARTspace Newsletter e-mail which lists a variety of events occurring at the gallery. Supporting Members may also submit works to any open exhibitions and are encouraged to participate in a variety of programs and events hosted by ARTspace. Supporting Members will also be given a weeks notice in advance regarding any ARTcamp classes being offered, allowing for early sign up as well as a $15.00 discount off all ARTcamps.

Want to become an Associate Member?
Associate Member $50.00 Annual Membership Fee
Supporting Memberships are intended for artists or for those what are simply interested in participating in the cultural life of the gallery. Associate Members are welcomed without the need for application.
Benefits of an Associate Membership
Associate Members will be given the opportunity to participate in our Annual Members Exhibition and receive the ARTspace Newsletter e-mail which lists a variety of events occurring at the gallery. Supporting Members may also submit works to any open exhibitions and are encouraged to participate in a variety of programs and events hosted by ARTspace. Want to become a Sponsor?
Because ARTspace is a not for profit organization, sponsorship is always welcome. Benefits to Sponsors are negotiable and offered at a variety of monetary levels and may include access to the gallery space for various functions, art rentals from gallery artists, sponsor name recognition at the gallery openings, invitations and publications.
